Terms of Use
Last updated November 7, 2026
The short version: DECK Last Call teaches drinking and betting card games. It's for adults of legal drinking age. It never sells or serves anything, and it never takes bets or pays anything out. How you play, what you drink and what you stake are up to you, and so are the risks.
Please read the "Disputes" section below. If you live in the United States, it includes an agreement to resolve disputes through individual arbitration rather than in court, and a waiver of class actions. You can opt out within 30 days.
These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of DECK Last Call, shown as the seller on its App Store page ("Last Call," "we" or "us"). They cover the DECK Last Call app and the website decklastcall.com. By using Last Call, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Last Call.
DECK Last Call is a separate product from DECK Card Games, our everyday card game guide, which has its own terms. Both are made by DECK Card Club. These terms apply only to Last Call.
Who can use Last Call
You must be of legal drinking age where you live, and at least 18. In the United States, that means at least 21. When you first open Last Call, you confirm your age and agree to these terms. Don't use Last Call if you're under that age, and don't share it with anyone who is.
Last Call isn't directed at anyone under the legal drinking age. If someone underage uses it anyway, they're doing so against these terms, and to the fullest extent the law allows, we're not responsible for that use or what comes of it.
What Last Call is, and isn't
Last Call is a guide that explains how drinking and betting card games are played. It's for learning and entertainment only.
- It doesn't sell, serve or provide alcohol. When a game mentions a "drink" or a "sip," any drink works: water, soda and juice play just as well.
- It isn't gambling. Last Call never takes bets, holds stakes, pays out winnings or offers prizes. Chips, points, sips and tokens in the app have no value. Chocolate chips, pretzels or tokens make good betting chips.
- It doesn't encourage anyone to drink or gamble. Every game can be played with nothing real at stake.
- It isn't advice. Nothing in Last Call is medical, legal or financial advice.
Your choices and your responsibility
You decide how you play, what you drink and whether anything is at stake. You're responsible for those choices and for following the laws where you play.
- Drinking. If you choose to consume alcohol, only do so if you're of legal drinking age, know your limits, and never drive after consuming alcohol. Don't consume alcohol if you're pregnant, taking medicine that doesn't mix with alcohol, or have a health condition that makes it unsafe. Never pressure anyone to consume alcohol, and never give alcohol to anyone underage. A sip is a sip, never a chug.
- Betting. Gambling for money or anything of value may be illegal where you live, even between friends. If your table chooses to play for real stakes, that's between the people playing. Last Call isn't involved, and you're responsible for following the law.
- Hosting. If you host a game, you're responsible for your guests and your space, including who drinks and how much.
- Playing safely. Some games are fast and physical, like grabbing spoons. Play gently, with room to move.
If drinking or gambling is causing problems for you or someone you know, help is available. In the United States, you can call the SAMHSA National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357 or the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-GAMBLER, free and confidential, any time. Elsewhere, local health services can point you to support.
Assumption of risk
To the fullest extent the law allows, you take on all risks of playing the games in Last Call and of anything you choose to drink or stake while playing. That includes the risk of illness, injury, impairment, accidents, damage to property, lost money or property, and legal consequences. Last Call and its developer aren't liable for any loss, harm or injury that comes from how you or anyone else plays, drinks or bets.
Using Last Call
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Last Call. Last Call's design, writing, diagrams, animations and code are ours to the extent the law protects them, and we keep all our rights in them. Please don't copy, sell or republish them, or use them to build another product, except where the law allows. Card games and their rules are free for anyone to play and explain in their own words; our particular way of explaining them is ours. Open-source parts of Last Call are covered by their own licenses, listed on our Open-source licenses page.
Please don't use Last Call to break the law, to harass, threaten or impersonate anyone (including through names entered in live rooms), or to interfere with Last Call or the services it runs on.
Live rooms
Live rooms let friends' phones join a game with a code. Names entered in a room come from the people in it, not from us, and we don't endorse them. Only share a code with people you're playing with. Rooms depend on the internet and our service providers, so they may sometimes be slow or unavailable. Last Call's rooms are separate from DECK Card Games' rooms, so a code from one doesn't work in the other. We may suspend your use of live rooms if you break these terms.
Game rules
Card games are played many ways around the world. Last Call's rules, suggestions and animations are a guide written in our own words, not an official rulebook. They may not match how you or your friends play, and despite our care they may contain mistakes. Drinks and stakes marked as house rules are our suggestions, not part of the traditional game. Agree on the rules as a group before you start. Traditional card games are free for anyone to play and explain, and Last Call isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any game publisher or brand.
Changes to the service
We may change, pause or stop any part of Last Call at any time.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, Last Call is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise that Last Call will be error-free, uninterrupted or secure.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any personal injury, property damage, or loss of money, data, goodwill or enjoyment, arising from your use of Last Call or from playing, drinking or betting in connection with it. Our total liability for any claim relating to Last Call is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Last Call in the past 12 months or 50 US dollars.
Some places don't allow these limits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, gross negligence, willful misconduct or fraud.
Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover any claims, losses and reasonable costs we face because of your breaking these terms, your drinking or betting, or your letting someone underage use Last Call or drink while playing.
Ending these terms
You can stop using Last Call at any time by deleting the app or no longer visiting the website. The sections on assumption of risk, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, disputes and the law continue to apply.
If you got Last Call from the App Store
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Last Call or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and isn't responsible for any claims relating to Last Call, including product liability, legal or regulatory claims, or claims that Last Call infringes someone's rights. If Last Call fails to meet any warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation. You confirm that you aren't in a country under a U.S. government embargo or on a U.S. list of prohibited parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your license to use the app. If it conflicts with these terms, Apple's agreement governs that license, and these terms govern everything else.
Disputes
Talk to us first. Before starting any claim, you and we agree to try to resolve it informally. Email email address appears here with your name, a description of the problem and what you're asking for. If we can't resolve it within 60 days, either of us may continue as described below.
Arbitration (United States only). If you live in the United States, you and we agree that any dispute relating to Last Call or these terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, instead of in court. There's no judge or jury in arbitration, and a court's review of the result is limited, but an arbitrator can award the same individual relief a court could. Hearings can take place by phone or video, or in the county where you live. If you start arbitration, we'll pay any filing fees above what you'd pay to file in court, unless the arbitrator finds your claim frivolous. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court, and either of us may ask a court to stop misuse of intellectual property.
No class actions. Disputes can only be brought individually, not as a plaintiff or member of a class, consolidated or representative proceeding. If this waiver is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim will be decided by a court, not in arbitration.
Opting out. You can opt out of arbitration by emailing email address appears here within 30 days of first using Last Call, with the subject "Arbitration opt-out" and your name. Opting out doesn't affect the rest of these terms.
Outside the United States, this arbitration section doesn't apply. If you're a consumer in the European Union, the UK or another country with mandatory consumer protections, you keep those protections and can bring a claim in your local courts.
The law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, and the Federal Arbitration Act, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that isn't arbitrated will be handled by the state or federal courts in New York, except where your local law gives you the right to go to your own courts. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law.
Everything else
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. You can't transfer these terms to anyone else; we can, for example if Last Call changes hands. These terms, the Privacy Policy and, if you got Last Call from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement are the whole agreement between us about Last Call.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant, we'll mention it in the app. If you keep using Last Call after a change, you accept the new terms. Changes don't apply to the past: a change to the Disputes section won't apply to a dispute you've already told us about, or to one that arose before the change.
